Connected the MAP sensor plug that I forgot all about and it runs perfectly now

Need to re-do the shims though as I appear to have measured the gaps incorrectly when I initially did the shimming. Also need to get a plastic insert made up that will hold the air temp sensor in the induction kit boss.

Little things and it should soon be ready for the test run. Depends on how quickly I can source the tophat shims and the sensor holder.

Started the engine today, two and a half months after I started the job

Little bits here and there to finish, and it may have an injector problem or something as it seems to misfire. I'll know more sometime during the week.

Wiring has been done bar a tiny bit. Though this can only be completed once I've finalised the air temp sensor location so that I have the correct wire lengths.

Well, three weeks turned into two months pretty easily

It now boasts four wheels that touch the ground and a front bumper. Well, it looks like a car should, I guess.

It needs to be towed to the local exhaust place to get the midpipe modified as the 1242 Supersprint manifold runs further underneath the car. Induction kit is being made at GSR to incorporate my needs and also...

And so the fun begins

It surprised me just how easy it is to take an engine out. Hopefully it'll all go smoothly right till I tighten up the wheelbolts and take it off the stands!

With the old fuel system designed around 1bar, and the fact I'd need to do some modification to the Fiat hoses anyway, I opted for new braided fuel line with the correct unions from Abbey Hose....
