As usual its been a while since i updated. Met up with David (aka Rallycinq) tonight so he could have a look to see what the knocking was at the back. Top man! He's put my mind at rest actually, always thinking somethings going to go wrong but he says its in fairly good check.

Replaced the rocker cover gasket today, easy job only took 10mins.

Managed to get my mot, although not the one i previously mentioned booking! The day before that one, my starter motor packed in and i obviously had to cancel, so it was a couple of weeks until i h ...More Read More

Got a couple of things sorted today, fixed the speaker crackle, just a loose cable, and fixed the handbrake switch thing on the dvd player coming on.

Went to get new tires but forgot my bloody locking nut

Did get my MOT booked though, just hoping it will pass

Also pretty certain my gearbox oil is low cause i can hear a noise but when clutch is down it goes away!

Havn't added to this bad boy for quite a while now! Well i sorted the fuel thing, i had a "spare" cable in the engine bay that i found out goes into the carbon cannister, plugged it in and now when i fill the car up it's all good!

Got a few other problems though:

Lots more knocking has started - Not sure what it is. Shocks are only 6 months old so doubt it's them. Maybe bushes or engine mounts.

Speakers are crackling, i know it's not exactly serious but it's annoying! Prob just loose connection.

Every so often when i'm driving al ...More Read More

Filled the car right up (rare occasion of having money) and all was fine. Went a drive smelt fuel (nothing too new!) opened filler cap and fuel came pouring out! I was on the level and i was fine earlier. So i'm thinking there's a pressure build up somewhere or a valve's blocked, but for now i'm just not gona fill it up to the top! lol

Got my nice and shiny 40mm TB from tricker through. Fitted it the other night. As usual it didn't go too smoothly. lol. Couldn't get the bolt off the throttle cable so had to take the fitting off the new one and put the old one with the cable end still attached to it onto the new one!
So i got that sorted then i was transferring the electrical bits to the new tb. One of the bolt's would not move! Used WD40, PlusGas, and eventually it rounded so i took to hacksawing the head off. By that time i was getting quite frustrated.

Right, i've had my cinq since christmas now and done a fair bit of work on it. I'm a student so generally i'm skint as usual, but while i'm working during the summer i've got a bit of cash to spend on sorting the car out.

So far i've mainly just done styling, inside i've got:

Rage recliner bucket seats
3.6inch widescreen dvd player headunit
ps one that play's through the headunit with wireless controllers
Stripped out back seats
uprated speaker's and speakers in the old back seat door cards
Fully paint dash in metallic purple
