Do you wanna be in our gang?

Well, believe it or not, I think I've finally found a good use for the social groups!

They will now be used as a "Register" of sorts, to see who has what :)

If you scroll to the bottom of a model forum, you'll now see a new box which lists a random lot of 10 people who are also "Members".

So - to get yourself in the list, click the link in the title of the new box, then click "Yes" when it asks for confirmation :)

Over time, this will allow us to build an accurate picture of who drives what - also giving us the ability to contact groups of model owners directly (for photo shoots as an example) - rather than posting a thread and hoping people read it.

I'm getting this message when I try to 'join' the classic Panda group:

homeward, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

...and I own three of the things...! :(

Had no problems with the Panda or Punto Mk2/b groups, though....

Hello all, I'm new to the forum. I live in Kensington, CT and this morning I bought a 1975 Fiat Spyder convertible. I'm in my 60s and have owned many old cars but never a Fiat, so I have much to learn. Given the model I have, where on the site would you suggest be a good place to begin?

This new group system, at the bottom of the cinq forum,
It says:

"These members all own cinquecento/seicentos - if you do too, click here to get yourself listed!" But when I click it, it says:

"Razman, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:"

I've read the reasons and I don't really apply to either.

[petergriffin] What's going on here? [/petergriffin]

I believe this is the same problem as homewards.

No - separate. Every forum has its own group :)

OK! I was just confused that when I clicked on the A500 one there were loads of people I didn't recognise and when I clicked on the 500 one there were three A500 owners listed in the pics at the top, RUI. Chas and myself.

Ok! Found the issue - it was due to having requested to join the group before, but not been authorised yet :)

I've now batched everyone in - so that issue shouldn't happen for anyone again :)
