Have just replaced the front lower footwell speakers on our 2005 "B" after the O/S one failed going very "crackly".

The originals, P/N:46731141 are no longer available (probably just as well they would probably very expensive.

For others is a similar position I can confirm that Vibe (British Audio) / Critical Link Accessories) Model DB6-V4 Dual Cone speakers *just* fit the "A" post preformed speaker recess. I got these speakers from Halfords at £12 each.

Size: 165mm
Mounting Diameter: 142mm (5.5")
Mounting Depth: 53mm (2.0")
Peak Power: 120W
RMS Power: 40W
Impedance: 4 Ohms

When I say *just fit* is because the Fiat originals are about 10mm shorter on depth, shallower back support profile and have a smaller magnet diameter.

The above info may prove useful for others.

I'll state now these speakers (either the originals or my replacements) qualify as "Hi-Fi" but the replacements are a certainly equal to if not much better than the originals. (2005 vs 2017 cheap speaker technology).

Final info. On a 2005 "B" the speaker wiring colours are the same on both sides of the car and are:

Wiring: Pink-Black = +ve / Black-Violet = -ve (both L & R)

Freq. Response: 55Hz - 18kHz

I got these too (1998 model) but I needed to use a 10cm spacer because the magnets contacted the car panels.

Mine were a close fit. On initial placement then magnet pulled to the metal work thus frustrating the fitment. However once the 3 mounting holes were aligned exactly all was OK.

Also you have to mount the speakers with the terminal upper most as on the 2005 model there is an additional rectangular cut-out that goes deeper into the "A" post cavity.

It is possible the 2005 model has slightly different panelling to the 1988.
