Hello Barchetta Group - I'm new here but have had my Barchetta for a few years.
Its one of the silver, red roof Special Editions, only got 44K on clock.

Just got it back on the road after a few years 'resting' on the drive - needed brakes fixing, a few smaller things and the most expensive Wiper motor I've ever seen - anyway, MOT sorted so all good.

It still have a long list of niggles that I'd like to try and pick off over time, hence finding this place.

From what I've read the stuff I have issues with are not unusual, but we all love the Barchetta so we enjoy the character this brings with it.

Water Jets - it seems I need a non return valve for these, which is an obsolete part!
Powered radio aerial - obviously doesn't lift and lower when required - suggestions on cause are welcome
The slowest of slow electric windows - think it might be the rubber seals here ? any ideas
Roof seals just doesn't stop the water - fills up the hood store area after a white

All above is a starting point - need a few badges for the wheels etc but given all the above, the cars a gem, love it and will be getting lots of run-outs this summer !!

any comments, advice and general info very welcome

Thanks

Hi, welcome to the forum. Great to hear that you have your car back on the road.
Regarding your listed jobs.
I would look on eBay for the non return valve, any generic one will be OK.
The windows are slow anyway, but it could be that the cable or the pulley wheels are stiff, with not being used, perhaps take the door cards off and spray with WD type stuff.
Your last issue regarding your seals not so easy, are they damaged, have they gone hard? If they are not damaged I would try silicone grease to soften the seal. Or could it be that your drain holes have become blocked.
Hope this helps.

thanks Dave

I'll search ebay this weekend.
WD 40 seems a straight forward option !
I'll search for the drain holes - seems likely as I've never cleaned them out !

Indicator thing is a pain though - intermittent fault - it's not the stork issue as it also has the same fault on hazards, so I'm guessing its the relay - just dont know where to locate it on the car - looking around googke for a clue but not having any luck so far !!!!!

Before you swap the indicator relay, try some WD40 on the contacts in the stalk itself. That cured my intermittent indicator problem (and the hazards were also playing up on mine - sometimes Fiat electrics defy logic )

thanks - yes they do seem a little 'unusual' - sometimes I get in the car and they work, then 2 miles later and they don't. It's always the hazards and the indicators though, which is why I thought it was the relay not the stalk contacts - having said that, I'm no auto electrician so I'll give the contacts a try first.

thanks - very helpful - this info doesn't seem to be in the manual !!!
