Well, I think you win the prize for the best-ever holiday souvenir (y)

She looks lovely - and welcome aboard!

Well, it certainly beats the old "My parents went to (wherever) and all I got was this lousy 'T' shirt" souvenir. Nice one.

Thanks Bumble!
Can't make my mind up about it. I think it's a bit ugly.. and they aren't cheap. I'd rather buy a 2nd hand Z4.. These compromised cars (Jap input -yuk!) built by accountants never work. That's why the Barch is so great. :) OK, I've now made my mind up - Fiat can keep it.

Does anyone else think this is a cop-out by Fiat? I'm surprised that Mazda would entertain selling their chassis to Fiat. I see that the Arbath version is nearly £30K!

Well, to be honest, it's not for me but having said that, I think the look is preferable to the Mazda it is based on. Steve
Bumble, I agree. The looks of the Fiat is way more pleasant in my eyes than the new mx5. The mx5 is way to aggressive and "street racer" looking than the Fiat.

That being said I wouldn't buy the Fiat either as a new one in Denmark costs £50000.- (extreme taxes on new vehicles). The mx5 goes for £32000 here. So no sale here. :)

Went to Festival Italia today at Brands Hatch,7 Bs there,2 yellow,2 dark blue,a red,a dark green met and my silver.
I'd post pics if I knew how to from my phone.
Cos I'm stoopid.
Great day out,big attendance, owning an Italian car is ace.

We managed to make it to this event as well and had a great day. Some pics below, we did the track parade and in the photo you can just see us in the blue B (between the Lambo & 156 GTA), one also of us leaving with a yellow one behind :)

No you're not seeing double! This is me and my sis with our Bs. I bought mine in'99 she bought hers 3 years later. Celia had a white MBG GT. Although it had a full body restoration the mechanicals were worn out. It seemed that every year it needed another £300 spending to pass the MOT. She had a go in my B, liked it and got her own!
Hope you like the pics.

Ooooooh, don't they look amazing!!

There's a yellow B up for sale near me for not very much money. Nice condition, but stratospheric mileage (twice that of mine). Despite that, I'm sorely tempted! In fact, I spent last weekend trying to persuade my youngest daughter (who loves my B) that a yellow B is just what she wants/needs! (y)

That's a sad moment.. I'm running mine until the end of the month, and then the tax runs out. Need to find a garage!

Having regularly used the car over the summer months, I'm surprised that I've only seen one other Barchetta. Getting rarer now I guess.

Yes my barchetta is in hibernation from the end of the month too, I don't think there's much pleasure driving the car in the wet and on gritted roads, may also try do a few of the jobs on the car I should have done last winter

Got new hood fitted and changed over to N Ireland plates....getting there slowly, slowly....

Just got back from my 12th Euro road trip in Fabio the Fiat.

1270 miles to Wolfsburg,Hamburg and the main reason ,the Estering at Buxtehude near Hamburg for the world RX round there.

Anyone here a fan and watch It on tv on Sunday ?

Car was as always near perfect, gobbling up the miles I ask it to do and it now officially is over 100,000 miles as Speedo changes meant it wasn't showing its real miles.

The thread where B owners just chat about their car needs bumping ,the cars

that were hibernated should be coming out soon.

Mine wasn't hibernated ,took it to Goodwood both days this weekend for the
75th Members meeting,top down

there and back both days ,still get occasional positive comments about it ,due

to it's "unique" appearance........:D:D

Mine's still 'hibernating' (i.e. not running) but it will have some much-needed tlc over Easter ... and then for the dreaded MOT

mine never hibernates , i ride it all year long
i'm lucky to live in sunny Portugal :D
it's also great for rust problems !
the negative side is the price of gas in here :(
