This has probably been covered previously, but an up to date view on what to look for to a newcomer to Barchettas would be appreciated. Am looking to buy a good one.....

I have no problem with LHD, owning one car with that already.

Specific questions (pros/cons) are:
Early v later cars (I know the styling difference)
Production Quality issues from the early v later factories, if any
Extras and/or Special editions to look out for?
Mileage, keen to see a car that is used but not big mileage, fair?
Prices seem all over the place, eg £3k-£10k, and for a car that is relatively new and didn't cost the earth new, its a surprise. Looks like <£5k should be enough?!
What to look out for mechanically, and what should have been done.
Anything else you can think of!!

they used to be CHEAP used buys, (LHD)
but there are fewer good ones for sale now..,

no idea of early VS late, ( not an owner / fan - yet?)

and you'll be well acquainted with Belt and Variator costs
