Wonder if it's possible to get a petition going to get the Discovery channel show Wheeler Dealers to restore a barchetta, they seem to be doing a lot of US cars in the new shows and as the barchetta is left hand drive it would be a great car to do for both US and UK market , any takers ?

I'm living in dread of a B appearing as Shed of the Week on Pistonheads...

I wouldn't mind seeing Edd China working on a B (good luck with those rusty nuts, Edd (y)), but I can't stand that grinning idiot Mike Brewer. Horses for courses.

yeah i sent them an e-mail through the contact link on their main site , maybe if they get enough requests the B could be put on a list somewhere . I don't know why they went to the US and started doing US cars on WD there are so many US shows doing up cars and there seems to be no rules there as to MOT and the like , doesn't make much sense for what essentially is a very British style low key low budget show , its all got a bit too glossy imo

Methinks someone wanted an excuse for an all-expenses-paid jolly in the States.

It's fun to check the MOT history of the cars they've tarted up. They rarely sail through in the succeeding years, which confirms that their "restoration" work is only skin-deep (and often not even that - remember the respraying with Halfords-type aerosols in many of the earlier episodes? I'd hate to see a B subjected to that kind of botched job)

Hi All,
I have sent an email to the Wheeler Dealers with the same request. He has replied:

"Thanks for getting in touch.... We have already bought the cars for this session so can't take anymore, also we can't take on any private work as we are busy on the show so sorry we can't help."

I didn't ask him to work on my car, his response was just the standard generic response his website replies with as it came back straight to me. Even I can't respond to emails as quick as his machine.
