Re: SHOW OFF YOUR BARCHETTA Photos wanted

And now the ropey b'

Just the roof, I'll not bore you with the soon to be white blue b. [stone chips, not a respray.]

I probably should have posted them in this thread, but some of the photos in there are even more depressing.

Re: SHOW OFF YOUR BARCHETTA Photos wanted

Ahh... My original PVC roof was a bit knackered when I acquired my B (not THAT knackered ). I had a rip on the passenger side that flapped a bit and I had to stick a few bits of waterproof tape on. Doesn't take anything away from the pleasure of owning one of the best cars on the road though.

Do you have plans for a mohair hood replacement? Not cheap but I did mine for £300 fitted which beats some prices.

Re: SHOW OFF YOUR BARCHETTA Photos wanted

I bought one of the mohair tops from ebay.de a few years ago and fitted it myself, a vast improvement over the vinyl and should last a fair bit longer too. Its not actually that hard a job - well, I managed to do it, so it can't be!

My Mohair was a possible record breaking £188 and then £100 to have it fitted.

from memory it was £230 delivered and included a pot of contact adhesive. It fits perfectly and took an afternoon to fit. I was doubtful about doing the job at first but actually all you have to do is make sure its tight at the front where you screw it down - I fitted it too loose at first but did this dry (without glue) so was able to restretch it properly and glue it on the second attempt. Only unfortunate thing was that some f***er stuck a key through the back window not long after I fitted it

Well, sun is shining and the top is off so it's bound to rain soon. Haven't discovered how to post those big photos yet but heres a couple of thumb nails.

Re: SHOW OFF YOUR BARCHETTA Photos wanted

I'm thinking about buying this one:
http://cgi.ebay.pl/CABRIOVERDECK-FIA...3%3A1|294%3A50

seems cheaper then the ones posted previously, and italian barchetta forum claims them to be top quality (as far as my italian's right..)

Been out with the camera. I like the way the red looks under different lighting conditions...
