Twice this evening, on my regular top-down sunny-evening blast around the coastal highways and byways of North East Suffolk, I was waved at by chaps driving silver MX5s with their tops down.

So, do you think the cheery acknowledgements were for...
(a) driving a pretty little convertible?
(b) driving a pretty little silver convertible?
(c) driving a pretty little convertible top-down?
(d) driving a pretty little convertible which aforesaid MX5 drivers mistakenly took for another MX5?
(e) driving a drop-dead-gorgeous B?
(f) none of the above

I would think its just what an mx5 driver would do;) barchetta drivers are too busy feeling the thrill of the drive.just dont wave back :)

Where i live (small island in Denmark) people wave when seeing another convertible with the top down.

I had a few Alfas and before 156 people waved when seeing another Alfa.

I now drive a Giulietta and a Barchetta and always wave when seeing another Giulietta, Barchetta and Convertibles with the top down.

Here in South Africa I have the only Barchetta. How many times have I heard, "Oh - an MX-5 which is left hand drive". I do believe the Barchetta missed a trick when they made it lhd only. I love a lhd car in a rhd country, but I am sure they missed many sales in the UK because of it.
