I have just completed a 4,270km trip in my Barchetta, leaving Johannesburg one morning and staying in Britstown, then going on to Cape Town where I met my son who flew in from London. We spent a few days in Cape Town then travelled inland on R62, staying in Barrydale at a B&B. Then we drove and on coming to a sign, decided where to go. No bookings, just driving where the B wanted to go. We drove through some absolutely beautiful countryside towards Mossel Bay, stopping for coffees on the way and breathing in the clean country air. We stopped over in Mossel Bay then Knysna where we stayed again. A wonderful meal that night and again on the road to East London. South Africa is sure Barchetta country, she sang like a bird and didn't miss a beat. After East London, back to Johannesburg, nearly 1000kms on that last day. I couldn't have done it in a better car!

Great stuff, wish I could have followed you. Bet the coffee is good in SA as well.
