Hi there

Wandered if someone could help?

I store my Barchetta outside under a car cover which I know is not ideal. For some reason after running fine it has started to stutter and eventually stop after running for about 3 mins? Then when I turn ignition or car off if not already stopped is ok again for another 3 mins?

Not sure if it might be electrical or fuel related, it is a 1998 stelvio green limited edition with 43,000 miles on the clock.

Many thanks and merry Christmas.

Peter

Hi Charlie

Yes it does it when it is running too after a mile. It starts to splutter than conks out but again is ok for a little while when you turn the key off and on?

The fuel is new.

Many thanks.

Sounds like a fuel issue, the filter may well be clogged.
But check the basics first: Have you checked the coolant level? Is is temperature rising ok, up to 90'C? Overheating has similar symptoms.

Mine is a 1996 and it has a fuel filter mounted underneath the car on the passenger side - cylindrical, about 120mm long and about 75mm diameter. It's easy enough to change and not expensive, as above it'd be the a good starting place.
