General Good... or bad?

Expensive, cheaper to buy in the UK.

For me the side skirts don't do the beautiful lines any favours at all. I like the Naxos Noire, looks in good nick but expensive!

Expensive? I'll say! Welcome to the world of the second hand car prices in France, well at least outside the larger cities and towns.
To give you a couple of examples, in France the used car price guide is the "Cote d'Argus" and EVERYBODY uses it. Even the manufacturers advertise new models showing a trade-in value of cote d'argus plus xxxx€.
I have just checked on our '96 Barchetta with 227,000 kms and it is valued at 4450€. Our '02 Citroen Synergie with 157,000 kms is valued at 4280€.
It is no wonder that you see so many old cars trundling round rural France. That and the Controle Technique (MoT test) being every two years.
In our village of 48 houses the newest car is a three year old Dacia Duster and that's owned by a couple who (like us) moved in, but they are French and are considered loaded. Our nearest neighbours have a Peugeot 106, then up the road a Citroen Xsara, Peugoet partner van ex GDF/EDF, Renault Magane (old shape) and his son has an Espace. There are even a couple of mk 1 Renault Scenics.
They keep their cars a long time down here.
