No need to comment on the V5 thing - aware of the dangers of that.

I'm usually of the view to buy the best you can, so this doesn't fall into that, but it looks not too bad. Also, very aware of body corrosion usually means a lot worse underneath!

Check under the sills for corrosion/rust holes, check inside rear wings for rust holes. If it can't be started because of stck altenator remove the "fanbelt". Waterpump is driven from the timing belt so no danger driving without alternator. Replacement of the alternator is a pain in the ass but absolutely doable. You'll have to remove the frontpipe, and loosen the aft engine mount. Then it's just a matter of how much work you are willing to put into it and the proce of course good luck
