I want remote central locking on my B.
I already have central locking. I've done a search on here and I need the Meta M20/1 relay it would appear. I have emailed Speedup and got no response, so can anyone advise where I can get one of these relays plus the matching circular fobs. Even better, if someone has one such setup for sale please let me know I will buy it off you.

Cheers

I fitted a Meta M320 remote central locking unit to our 'B'. This was the official Fiat recommended accessory for a 2005 Barchetta.

Like you we already had central locking. The M320 gives coded/secure remote fob operation.

I've no knowledge of the Meta M20/1 relay unit but if it works and is cheaper than the M320 or any other kit then go with it.

Also please report back your experiences to this thread.

Thanks for the helpful reply, shame the M320 system seems just as hard to source as the M20/1 relay! Where did you get it from?
I certainly will report back on how I get on, but I fear it may be quite a while before this thread comes to a successful conclusion.

Not sure here how to get to the correct forum,,,,,, youngest son has started driving and bought a 2001 1.2 3dr ELX to add to our collection -- car has had the remote circular fob RCL 'upgrade' .... twice now I've unlocked on the key rather than the remote and get crap idle no power steering, airbag warning lights (fronts) and the dash (in centre) immobiliser light flashing --- switching off, lock then unlock on the fob sorts it out - its as if the chip in the key sorts the immobiliser so starts the engine but the remote locking stops power to steering, ECU etc etc == worried that whilst he has 2 keys 1 fob and if that fails where we might be>..... can't see where the meta system is plugged in so some pearls of wisdom mucho appreciated (have got ECUScan or whatever we call it these days + a Sealey scanner) if it makes a difference....

Grrrrr go on rub it in will you ;) could have killed for remote locking this morning when the keyhole was all frozen

just buy a universal kit, even flipkey kits exist.
Easy job. 6 solder connections. I can help you what wires to use if you need em

Hi Bollie69,

I am struggling a bit with the installation of an aftermarket remote locking kit on my B. I have installed the servos in the doors but I am at a loss where I can splice power and the courtesy light connection into my unit... any tips? I have installed the master unit on the passenger side as there was more space to pass the bulkier wire loom through the door, also I figured the fusebox is there. I have a 2000 B, no frills, and as far as I can tell there were never any pre-existing lock motors.

cheers

I still cannot source a Meta M20/1 relay and circular fobs, this is ridiculous. I will pay TOP money for the correct Meta wireless relay and fobs, can anyone help?

I believe they are no longer made. There was someone selling one on one of the forums recently, an old second hand unit with only one remote and he wanted something ridiculous like £75 for it. I politely declined...

As above, you're better off with an aftermarket one. I fitted a £20 eBay one to my Seicento and it worked a treat.

Hi HP thanks for the reply, yep I know they are no longer made as I've been trying to source one for over a year now! My Barchetta is incredibly original, and I'd rather do without cutting any wires or installing aftermarket actuators etc when absolutely everything I need is already in the car from factory, I just need the sodding relay and fob... this £20 ebay system is it simply a relay and fob?

I'd happily pay £75 for the proper meta relay and fob, don't suppose you could point me to the advert? Thanks!

Cheers, yes please PM me the details, although the original advert is coming up to a year old so it probably is long gone now but worth a punt!

Hi bumble thanks for the lead, yes that is exactly what I am looking for, sadly I already came up with that link some time ago and I emailed the seller and it was long sold....

Hi Dave, thanks for the suggestion I did indeed try them but no luck... but not to worry as I have finally sourced one from the Clubcento guy as suggested by HP and it has worked an absolute treat, 30 seconds to swap over the relays and hey presto! One very happy bunny here..:D

No, this relay is not unique to the Barchetta, its part of an upgrade kit, part number 46001190. The kit comes with fitting instructions for the Punto / Bravo / Brava / Barchetta / Palio / Seicento / Multipla, so it fits all those aforementioned cars....

So the kit is also unavailable? or were you just trying to obtain the relay as you don't need all the"kit"? (I also have central locking but not remote, hence my interest :) )
