I think I can see where the ilivid player came from. I have just viewed the link now.... It seems like the site is trying to trick people into clicking on the sponsored link. the site posts a large "download" icon right at the top of the page. with small print on the right hand side mentioning ilivid. Icon seems to change everytime I refresh the page
Below this on the left is a black square with a note start 30 second timer.
I clicked on this and it allows me to download the file after 30 seconds.
http://uploading.com......... (information not given to prevent the same thing happening again). Files have now be deleted.
Sorry. it is the first time I have tried to view the page to download a file.
I was going to offer to mail it to you free of charge on a cd but decided to try to post it online so as you could get quicker access to it. As posting from Bahrain to the UK can quite often take a week or more.
In view of this I will not be posting any more files on this file sharing site.
Can you uninstall ilivid using add and remove software? or maybe use system restore to return your computer to how it was last week?
I have just googled ilivid and there seems several ways to remove it. although I will not post any more links to anything.
I am very sorry about what has happened to your computer. I had no idea that this site linked you to any viruses and I will not be using them again.
If you need to take your computer to a repair shop to have them remove the software I will be happy to pay for the removal.
