General top mount bearings

General top mount bearings

Thanks guys for your interest and help, much appreciated. My local garage said it's not urgent, but something to get done anyway. One of the mechanics is going home to Italy for the holidays, and may find something there. Looks like Henk has some used for 70 Euros each, but the newer the better, eh. I'm guessing that's a steep £125 each from Fiat..? Everything for the Barchetta is so bloody expensive!

No, it was £125 for the pair..

That's not a bad price then.. never ordered anything from Fiat direct - is there a UK website for parts? I couldn't find the item on ePer, but have the OE part number. Cheers!

Order from your nearest dealership, the item is on Eper under wheels and suspension as a bearing (p/n 7798979 - BEARING).

Fiat has stopped making these top mount bearings according to our Lappland Fiat dealer, so any sources for new ones? Do not really fancy putting old ones in as this is a not-so-fun a job.

Any help appreciated, as the psgr side is now clanking even in warm weather.

Thanks, Andy

In about a month 2 dealers in The Netherlands should have them.
One is making an adaptor plate to use a normal industrial bearing.
The other has contact with a supplier and has news in a few weeks.

Are we sure that the Punto strut mount and bearings do not fit??
Looking at it online they look very alike but unless you have one on hand it's hard to say.

By the way, the mounts are different for the punto and the B, the punto uses a bushing and the B use a bearing, on a good note, I just ordered some for the B from UK seller redline parts.

Any more news on this Ollie?

I checked the redlinecarparts link above, but couldn't find them. Other traders in the UK don't seem to have them in stock. And STG£250 a pair is a bit steep anyway.

Hi there, I don't know of its still interessting, but I found a dealer for the bearings, I searched for a long time but finally found one.

Here is the link:

You have to put www. at the beginning.

Maybe I can help someone.
