any news? it will be good to have some checkpoints (hotels, motels) so peoples for different coutries could gatther there. Peoples from Austria, Polska, Hungary, Czech that will drive through balkan, some checkpoints could be in Zagreb (Croatia) or Budapest (Hungary) and then could meet in Beograd (Sebia) and through Makedona or Bulgaria to Greece.

Drivers from Germany, Switzerland, UK will probalby go through Italy.

The first thing is the questionnaire that they have to submit, in order to decide the final week.
The 2 meeting point will be 1- In the Igoumenitsa (it is the port tha connect italy with greece) and the second the city of Thessalonikh (conect the greece from the borders of FYROM (it is about 60 klm from the borders).
More details come after the expire of the questionnaire, stay tuned.

Before expressing an interest it would be useful to know what the event is likely to entail? How many days, anticipated events/ venues and most importantly approximate costs. I have in the past attended events like the Lancia Centenery celebrations in Torino, which was a week long extravaganza which needed considered budgetting for on my part, and conversly I've attended smaller and simpler AGM events.

What is the Greek Barchetta Club's current concept for the event?

Have come to Athens for a few days break with the misses,
I spotted an orange B this morning was it You? and if i can find any spares while i,m here that would be great , need some new discs and ebc brakes. Anyone who can help..advise where there might be a store..

BIM 2011 – Βarchetta International Meeting 2011

Dear Friends,

the replies in our questionnaire were by far more than what we were expecting!
We have : 33 from Italy, 8 from Greece, 5 from Germany, 5 from France, 2 from Austria and 1 from UK, The Netherlands, Bulgaria and Poland.

In total 57 cars!!!!


THE DATES OF THE EVENT ARE

30th OF JUNE - 3 RD OF JULY

Starting point is Igoumenitsa and closing point is Metsovo

In the next weeks we are going to announce the price (which everything will be included), and the final schedule.

Hi I have some questions about the meeting in June. As far as I understand the general meeting will be in Igoumenitsa and then all we are going to Metsovo? How many nights will spend in Igoumenitsa and how to Metsovo? Are there specific hotels to be stayed or everyone will stay where he wants? For now from Plovdiv, Bulgaria will travel two cars. If people from Austria, Poland, Hungary and other countries may wish to meet with us in Bulgaria and together to travel to Greece.

Until the end of February we will have the final description of the meeting and the costs.
Probably we will have 2 nights at Sivota (sea side) and one at Ioannina.
From 30 June to 3 of July. The starting point will be Igoumenitsa, because a lot of people (especially Italians) they will come by boat.
When we have the final description and we know for sure all the participiants, i will tell you wich they will come from the borders, in order to come together.

The big meeting of this year will take place from 30th of June till 3rd of July 2011.

There will be a 4 days full of Barchetta, Sea, Sun, Nature and more...

The starting point is Igoumenitsa ( Which is a major port for the ships from Italy). We will spend sunny days by the sea. You will drive your Barchetta in the most scenic roads always open top and you will see wonderful places.

The hotels that we chose are the best in the area and we are sure that you will enjoy.

The first hotel Regina Mare (4 stars) (www.reginamare.gr), in which we will stay 2 nights, is located by the sea and your room will have sea view. You will have your booked place in the beach and you will taste the best Mediterranean food

The second hotel is a superior class. Its Epirus Palace which is a 5 star de lux hotel (www.epiruspalace.gr). You will enjoy for sure your stay and we will have a best time with party by the swimming pool.

We will revert the following days with the full schedule with details.

The price for the full event from 30/6/2011 to 03/7/2011 is

330 Euro / person in double room
395 Euro / person in single room.

In the price everything is included.

Breakfast, lunch, dinner for all the days
Your private place on the beach
Small cruise in the lake of Ioannina
Entrance in Museum
and some other surprises!!!

Please note that we are going to start receiving money transfers from Monday 21st of February 2011 and the closing date is on 20th of April 2011.

***For those that they will come to the event by ship please check the early offers of the shipping companies!!!! ( ANEK lines, Minoan Lines, Superfast Lines) From our experience we recomend ANEK lines but please check for their best fares and offers!

Very sorry to hear about the cancellation of BIM2011. If hotels in Greece, cano't offer preferential rates for the meeting we can moved to another location. I can offer accommodation in Plovdiv, Bulgaria at Mirena Hotel We have 28 double room and for the meeting we can made a special price of 41E per nigh per 2 people including breakfast. We have a good restaurant serving international food.
