I've ordered complete lock set Part Number : 71714158 from Chris of Souls which hopefully has everything required to replace the driver and passenger side locks ; the boot lock ; the armrest lock and maybe even the ignition barrel...

Can anyone confirm what you get with the part number?

Any guides on the web to replace all these locks?

Do we know if any funky coding procedures are in place? Am I needing to re-code the keys with the ECU?

Any help would be appreciated..

do you have small hand? or long fingers?

door barrels are easy to remove, remove inside trim (maybe hardest part, you can found instructions somewhere here), put window up... there is some black lever that connect barrel and locking part you need to remove (carefully not to snap, it's hard to disconnect that part), and there is some "V" shape tin inside of doors where barrel is. just pull it and barrel will came out.

arm rest look is 5min job to remove, all you need is to unscrew 5-6 bolts inside and you will see it.

about boot lock, you mean lock that is when you open doors? hm.. you will need to release cable from inside boot (3 screws to take of black cover)... hm.. it was hard to put that cable back, because it like to stuck somewhere inside. unscrew 2 bolts on lock, take of cable... and i don't remember what's next. but that's it.

not sure what kind of motors have that viper alarm, here is video to give you some help how i install and where i put central locking. you will need to remove original motors because they give some unnecessary resistance.

that's not my final solution, i replaced a bit that rod what push/pull those locking bars.

any ideas how easy it is for the alarm installers (Motorguard) to install remote boot release with the alarm?

maybe is better to install boot release with some switch from inside. you just have to give motor +12v and it will activate and pull the lever that release boot. (+12v to open, +12 to lock)

i'm waiting better weather and then will install that...

You can upgrade any Barchetta to have EOM central locking simply by getting hold of a secondhand set of door wiring harnesses and the OEM electric locks.

I fitted OEM electric mirrors and central locking to my Barchetta and it's not that hard. You couldn't tell it's not factory fitted. (y)

Once fitted you can pickup a replay remote central locking kit and by simply plugging it in you then have full remote central locking. :slayer:

To convert regular key OEM door central locking to REMOTE central locking a replacement relay is required. Pull out one std relay, replace with a new relay that has a little wire aerial attached. Found under the passenger side dash, a 30 second job.
I bought my replacement relay from www.speedup.it who then posted to the UK. I received 1 relay & 1 remote. Works pefectly.
The part no @ www.speedup.it....... was 1043247 it now costs 53 Euro ish. I don't know if they are available direct from the UK.

Yes it is fairly obvious which relay to replace. Only nuisance is working under the passenger side dash whilst upside down. It's literally a 10 sec upgrade 2nd time around

I've received the Locking set (PN : 71714158) This includes 2 circular (grey/blue) keys ; 1 red key (with no chip) ; 1 Blue typical Fiat Key (believed to be a ignition only key)
2 interior locks (dashboard/armrest) ; 2 boot locks ; 2 door locks ; 1 Ignition barrel lock

Any ideas what the process is to get the grey/blue keys reprogrammed?
Any guides floating around to replace any of the locks or anything??
Any instructions on replacing these parts etc??

Any help with this would be appreciated.
