Bus to work for the immediate future..

I've spent most of this afternoon sitting on a grotty wooden bench in the local police station waiting for my 'Best Beloved' to be released from custody. Not a good way to spend a Sunday.

She went to the market this morning and there she met a jeep driven by another female.

The B is in the police pound, undrivable with 'major damage to the back' according to the police. The 4x4 is also in the pound and its driver is in the local A&E...

The duty solicitor advises me that the Jeep collided with the B while parked. There was an altercation between the drivers which was broken up by witnesses. An ambulance was called to take the jeep driver to hospital. The police also appeared and arrested Herself on a charge of assault. She's been refused police bail due to the serious nature of the injuries to the jeep driver (she's a big woman with the famous redhead temper) and will appear in court tomorrow morning when we will seek bail.

And I always though women were the sensible types and it was us guys who belted people. This is stupid, stupid, stupid.

I haven't been allowed to see the B yet as both cars seized for evidence.

Insurance company will love this claim.

Oh cr@p... Sorry to hear about your car.. after all the hard work you have put in.

Looking on the bright side... at least Mrs Rustbucket is un-injured...
and I guess the Jeep driver will think twice about ramming another B.

Driving on the roads here with all the big 4X4's terrifies me I always keep expecting one of the idiots to do the same to me!! And I always thought that in a collision it would be the B driver to come off worse.

Hope the Garda go easy on her... You could always say that she is a knacker and lives in a caravan, Guarenteed to walk free....

Good luck tomorrow

Really sorry to hear your bad news. Hope you have a good solicitor and that the damage isn't to bad.

Am currently 'resting' my recently doubly assaulted B as I broke my arm ice skating. Just hang in there.

Cheers,
Rich

Advised by the VW dealer (only decent local bodyshop) They had the B before...that the beast will be ready for collection first week in Jan. Last time they did 2k of work to the front..now its 2k to the rear.

Insurers wrote to me to saying that any further claims on this Barchetta will result in a write off...not sure they can do this?

Mrs B has been told by the police that they will prosecute for assault and is waiting for the court summons to arrive.. She dragged the jeep driver from a moving vehicle. The jeep driver fell 4 feet across a curb and got badly winded and bruised in the fall. Luckly nothing broke or it might be ABH.. Mrs B then shook her like terrier with a rat according to a witness before the combatants were separated. The jeep continued across the carpark until it hit a wall and stopped.

Jeep driver has a license but no tax or insurance and is being prosecuted separately by the police.
