Hiya Robot,

If you are eventualy going to use spacers, You can buy Hub Adaptor spacers,

These will bolt onto yr existing 4x98 PCD and convert to 4x100 stud. You can then use wheel nuts to fix the wheels.

I looked at some after market wheels and came across this problem, most multi Pcd rims have small holes.

Thanks - I'll have a look around. Do you have any links to them lying around? ;)

Thanks (y) I had a look around and found quite a few, but they all seem expensive

It looks like one needs minimum 20mm adapters; wouldn't that make the track too wide (the wheels touching the arches)? The alloys are 16x7 ET40, tyres 205/45/16.

Hiya Robot,

No you would still be within the arches on a 20mm spacer.

I have 15mm spacer on mine with a 38offset rim and still i could have gone to at least 20/25mm with no rubbing.

With yr 40 offset you should be clear. The only thing you may have to do is cut away a little of the rear plastic mud guards. But this is only in need without spacers. with spacers you should be fine.

Thanks again (y)

Admittedly I have put the alloys up for sale on a local forum as I would prefer to have some that fit on without modification (I could go for normal wobbles), but if there aren't any takers within a few days I'll probably order some spacers.
This place - http://www.schippan-shop.de - seems to do them for about €90 for a set of two; haven't found any cheaper yet as far as I can remember. It looks like the spacers are Tüv-certified too.

 The price

I'll have a look around for some cheaper ones, methinks :) I payed £300 for the alloys - not too sure I like the thought of another £300 for the spacers

It only took me 8 months , but I finally got around to putting on the gold alloys yesterday. Looks bloody nice methinks (y)(y)

Naturally it had to start snowing again just as I changed to my summer tyres

Long time since I was here last. Is LRB still here? Is Alan back?

I did a test fitting of the alloys in November and I got a little apprehensive as it looked like the wheels would rub against the arches, but no problems so far :):)

just for compare, i was trying that bling-bling look year(s) ago and repainted them to "gold"... but somehow it looked like mustard color, not golden. maybe i should put some gloss lacquer...

but your's looks nice! (y) waiting for sunny pictures

I remember you painting them gold :) They might be a bit massive for the colour though...
