Does the speedo have kms next to the total miles, as this would indicate an overlay to get MPH as the larger figures for the UK MOT.

There also the fog light\reversing light switch, if the word Fiat is upside down then they have been swapped and more than likely an import.

I'm not sure how much detail ePer will give you, but you can type in the vehicle ID and that might give you a clue, [mine was a Riviera for Germany, as opposed to Italy]

If the id nos on the v5 don't get recognized on uk computers this can be the reason, some of us with German imports find this.

A UK Barchetta is no better then an EU one so don't worry about it. Its all about the specific car that makes all the difference.

Barchetta cars from Japan have small front number plates and rectangle side indicators.

UK B's Have the total mileage clock in miles not KM as well as owned by cool people. (y)

EU B's have KM clocks and cost more then UK B's.

They are all made in the same factory after all so no worries.

Anyway it's how the person feels driving the car that should matter. Mine is a German import and I have no issues at all. (y)

Used to have a UK 2003 model and again that was fine.

MattB is right, just make sure the dealer does not try the "Oh Grey import, that will cost you" ****** it's a Punto Mk2 underneath. All the B's are basically the same.
