I'm in the process of trying to get my Barchetta Naxos 2001 resprayed. However, the front spoiler and wing mirrors are silver, the car is red. I cannot, for the life of me, get a paint code for the silver accessories. Do you think it's the same colour as the full Silver Barchetta? If so, what's that paint code? Any ideas how I could find out?

When I get to my car later I'll have a look to see what code the silver is... think it might be 323:confused:

I have read that there are about 10 different shades of silver on barchettas though all with the same code. Is there a code for the silver aswell as the red on your car (under the tonneau cover)?

As an aside, I believe that the wheels on the Naxos are a different shade to other barchettas with the same wheels.

Perhaps it would be best to try to get a match from a paint sample off the car?

Not sure on the colour code but when buying paint here it is possible to take in a "sample" and they will mix it to match.

Have had it done here previously on metalic paints and it was identical to the origional

Sorry, I have no idea if this is done in the UK.

I have a silver b i dont know whether it is the same silver paint you have mate, but i can have a look at the paint id no. it should haveo n tha car somewhere and let you know..

Sorry to revive a very old thread, has anybody seen this product, is it any good?

http://www.chipex.co.uk/

Mine is a black Riviera (Nero Seta I think - paint code 803) but this doesn't match up with the paint code shown on the chipex website.

Where can I find the exact details of the colour - is it on the ident plate?

Thanks Steve and Pete, have found the paint code under the tonneau cover, might take a photo and post up as there are other letters and codes which I'd be interested in understanding. Think I might give the chipex a go based on the RX8 forum guys, so what are you doing on there Pete, have you got one of those as well?

I had an RX-8 for 3 years and about 30,000 miles. Good car but flawed in a few areas.
The guy on the forum who tried Chipex was trying to repair gravel rash on the front bumper of a black car. He posted a few pics and it looked pretty good.

Current fleet is the Barchetta, an Alfa 159 2.4 JTDm with a bit of a remap and a 1242 16v Cinquecento running about 90bhp. Something for all occasions and weathers!

Very nice, I had a 156 2.4jtd and loved it but sadly it had to go, cost me so much with various problems, got 4 kids and 3 now at Uni so was forced to buy a saab95 estate which does the job, but I hate it, Mrs Stum has 1.3 corsa so they can all learn to drive and borrow the car, hence I insisted we got the Barchetta.
