Hi all

Thought I'd ask..

My friend is a car designer and if I get him the CAD files of the B he will look at what he can do for me. Does anyone have a copy I could buy \ copy????

Thanks(y)

i am working on 3d model in 3dStudio Max... will that be ok? but i am not very satisfied with results... i'm not so good in creating curved things.

That would be superb.

I am looking at this bonnet - no the front bumper.

Yeah - not sure about the bumper. I personally like the flat bonnet but that scoop could be okay.

I was looking for B drawings but also found these pics. A ace shot from computer game and a re-style idea here http://www.virtualcar.it/?p=7004

Being a bit of a philistine I don't see what is wrong with the original look of the b - I admit that lowering it and adding the lip spoiler makes it look excellent but lets not mess with the lines eh??

LEE - Being honest I do agree. I just like to think over ideas, some mad some sad. I had huge plans on paper before I bought my B, then I looked at her and made her a promise. "I shall make you look like new":)

SO I have bought the new style bumper and going to do some work on her on my 2wk break over crimbo..... and I may just forget that bonnet scoop. Funny really as my Grandma is Italian and she would turn in her grave if she knew I was messing with Italian looks..... help me!

:D

It's easy to get carried away!! Every now and again you need to take a step back and look at what can be improved, get rid of the rust and dings, fix the bits that are not quite right but remember - Italians have no idea how to build cars but by god can they make them look good!! ;)

How about this:-

Smooth over the door handles and make an electronic door opening like the TVR from the wing mirrors?

Quoted £650 inc top of the range Clifford alarm.
Would you?

You would make a manual opening under the car in case of battery failure.

i have to agree with silverbarchetta. those door handles are unique...
few guys ask me where to buy those handles to put them on Punto or Bravo..
also a lot of peoples doesn't know how to open doors... :D i pissed my pants when I saw them how they twist and bend their hands to open it.... or they use both hands one for button other for handle.:ROFLMAO:

no shaved doors on barchetta!

Hay I agree until, a frosty day! You know how annoying it is, she sits there looking cold and cute, you reach out to open her and nothing. The handle remains there.

But I agree it is a nice handle (when it comes out!) dam frost!.

So I shall see. I may do a photoshop of the door with out the handle.

Original - photoshoped

Sir, you are as mad as a bag of frogs! Door handles are one of the 'features', also TVR have a door release in the boot just in case you get a flat battery, you could not do the same with the b as you need to open the door to open the boot!!
