I want to replace that fan switch that is bolted to the thermostat in my B. Any things i should be aware of before i carry such procedure?

I've got a variation on this question. Car overheated the other day and I suspected it was because the fan wasn't cutting in as it had done the same once before.

I checked the fuse in the fuse box by the battery first and was surprised to find there was no 30amp fuse for the fan, and that even if there had been it would only connect to something on one side of the fuse lugs - nothing at all on the other side. That can't be right, surely?

That probably doesn't make sense so I've taken a picture. New 30a fuse in place to show where it would go:

So does anyone know if something has become disconnected or fallen off. Alternatively, is this normal and maybe I need to change the temperature sensor or fan relay? If so, Fiat part numbers would be handy if anyone's got them.

I've refilled and bled the cooling system and it is actually cooling pretty well but I'd like to get to the bottom of this at the weekend.

someone find the shematics... i've got a few guesses

- either the fusebox has a multiposition for ONE fuse eg either in the middle or on the right (for god knows what reason: maybe europe/Japan/USA "settings")

- or the second 'socket' is only fully wired when you've got airco and thus two fans

hello!

i have a problem...

I was in a gass station to change the right bulb (the one with the lense) and i don't know what the guy did... and the new bulb it's not working (the old one was working). it's a different fuse? the left lamp works... and all of the rest.

thanks... and where is the fuse box? :)

I have done this so many times. Fues box is the colour coded part to the left of the steering wheel, that body coloured part, Remove it with 3 screws. The fuse you want is a 20amp *Red* on the top row to the right. One fuse (why) for each side.

That is definitely an earthing issue.

well, try where motor is.. check every cable that is connected to the body of car. try to look in back trunk also for same issue. . you will have to remove plastics covers... probably rust eat something

unfortunately, nobody here can help you... this is not some "press-that-button" issue/solution... :( you'll probably have to go to electrician, but before, check those wires/cables. maybe is there problem...

Maybe someone could help me!

Today i realized that the left window (driver side) it's not working as usual. When i push the button, the window goes up/down not continuously... with 2cm every time, and under the dash-board in the right side, i hear a tick tick in the same time.

What could be the problem?
