2005 B with Leather & Aircon

Main Fiat idealer in Cork swear they have a RED 2005 B sold new by them and now part-ex for a Croma (Oh Dear!) This B apparently has leather and aircon.

I queried this with the sales guy (later models just don't have the chill factor of the older ones: Blue Riviera's in especial) and he said 'hold on I go look'...and he did... 'I'm sitting in the car and it has 2 buttons where the vent slider normally goes, the left one has a snowflake on it..'

Now there was a fair long thread where the great and good insisted that the last B's didn't get aircon to keep the price down...'

Is this a special edition..aircon because its a horrible colour or does the nice man in the dealership need to go to specsavers or is he lying through his teeth?

It is possible that its reg'd as a 2005 but is earlier. Aside from the aircon the mk2's didn't have leather - maybe its one that Doc has owned in the past!!

When test driving the 100HP told the dealer that I had decided on the MJ, but liked the digi climate control switches on the 100HP. Said to the dealer "BTW I want this climate in my MJ" replied "Oh! I'm not sure if you can get that in the MJ" retorted "Your not listening are you, I want this in the MJ OK, no climate, no car"

Redones were always manufactured with a extra love care and attention due to the right thinking Italians having a natural passion for their national racing colour. It is therefore no surprise to find this one has aircon and leather.

My red car came without ABS but with leather and spotlights, the ABS thoughtfully removed by the guys in the factory to keep the weight down and increase the racing purity of the machine.

Seriously though, other colours don't really make sense do they?

Would you have a blue Ferarri?

Mk II's (much nicer looking versions) were available with Air and Leather as factory options.......

Production ceased in 2004 but many were registered later and I recently saw a brand new unregistered example for sale in Japan!

Funny!, that one had it's ass kicked all weekend....

Metallic paint
Chargeable paint
Hard top
Air conditioning
Windstop
Alarm
Subwoofer

No mention of leather - perhaps they had it retrimmed?

stevo gee who takes care of the scottish runs has a 2005 silver B , He had his retrimmed with leather/heated seats from a company called www.transcal.co.uk

Robot you have my permission to use this..... this just doesn't seem quite enough....

My SILVER Mk 2 has black leather.

Guy who owned it before me only did about 2000 miles in it from new before he realised he was too tall, and sold it to me. I didn't ask whether the leather was factory fit but assumed so as he hadn't had anything else post-factory fitted to the car

He was too tall? how big was he, I'm 6'1" and had no problems what so ever.
