Getting fed up with navigating backwards out of the station carpark on the side mirrors only when the plastic window is steamed up (No I can't get out forwards..don't even think of a half brained comment)...

Ordered a neat miniature (read tiny) colour camera that is small enough to fit in the top brake light, wireless connection to a 4" flatscreen monitor on the inside of the drivers visor, image is reversed so you see the same view as in the mirror. €75.

Half brained comment...er.. you could always wipe the window before you move off?

I've seen a similar thing before somewhere - I think it was on a mate's campervan or something. This mod's a bit ambitious for someone like me but looking forward to seeing how it turns out rustbucket

Reverse park?

I fitted a simmilar system to my 7 series, make sure that the camera body material is stainless or it will leave rust patches within a few months.

Hmmmm, interested to see how this turns out!! - I have to admit I would be more interested in using it to see if the car behind me had hidden lights in the grill!!

Only thing that worries me about using camera's to reverse is that they show you the road behind you but not the sides of the car, when I am reversing I loke to see where the side of my b is in relation to other parked cars, walls etc...........

Oh, and there are not half brained comments, only half brained people!!

Interesting idea. They had a similar set up on an expensive Merc on Top gear but I agree with LRB about using mirrors and being cautious about the sides of the B. Pics will be good.
