A recommendation for Edinburgh hood fitting

Hello folks

Just had my new hood fitted.

After being a bit surprised at the quotes I received for this service I decided to trawl around some garages local to my area. Found a place that was willing to take the job on for 150 inc VAT and they have done a fantastic job. The other prices I was looking at were 270 ex VAT at another place in Edinburgh and 220 ex VAT in Glasgow.

Arches in Edinburgh was a winner though. Saved a fair whack and the job is perfect. It's on Manderston Street off Leith Walk sandwiched in with a good few other garages. The road is basically a whole row of garages/coachworks. The first one I went to said they couldn't do it but pointed me towards the Arches. Glad they did.

If your after hood fitting and, like me, your patience wears thin with fiddly jobs, I would recommend it.

Hope this is of some use.

Jon

Re: A recommendation for Edinburgh hood fitting

A very kind thought Alan. Much appreciated.

Yeah, it was the one form the ebay shop that you recommended. It's a shame they don't take paypal but the service was great. I transferred the cash on a monday and the hood arrived the following monday.

The new hood certainly smartens the car up......not that I've needed it with the weather over the last few days.

Next up......new exhaust.
