MOT history check only goes back to 2008 and the mileage drops between Jun 2008 and Oct 2009. I've seen this once or twice on other MOT histories, does anyone know the significance ... mistake at the test station?

I wonder if it was off the road for a while if the history only goes back to 2008 , I would have thought the discrepancy in mileage may be down to a speedo change [emoji848]if you're going to look check all the numbers match up too [emoji1303]
It's been on and off eBay a few times over the last few months .

DVLA MOT history site is a bit weird with how far back it shows, if I check the history of all the cars I've owned most of them date back to 2006/2007 ish, doesn't show anything before that even though I know they were MOT'd and in use for those years. One of my cars doesn't even go further back than 2009!
So I wouldn't take the MOT history as saying it wasn't on the road before then.

just checked mine and it goes back to 2005 , sure that was the year they started registering the mileage on the mot cert .

I can shed some light on this. The car belongs to a chap on the Punto GT owners page on Facebook.

Bit of a barn find and was a "modified". Reverted back to almost standard and a few repairs for MOT. It owes him close to £2,000 and in my opinion is well worth what he's looking for it.

Watch this space negotiations have begun. ;)

If the sale falls through again (the car finished on eBay earlier) and anyone here wants to express interest I can pass on his Faceache details via the message board. :)
