Hi all,

I am reluctantly selling my Fiat uno MK1 60s 1987 1.1 due to an imminent baby arrival and lack of time and money to fix her up! She wont take much work to be road worthy again.

Only 21999 miles!

She needs to go to a good home and the best homes are likely to be on this forum! Take a look!

Search for fiat uno on the classic section of Ebay and you will find it, auction ends Friday the 25th at 7pm.

Good luck!

Thanks all.
Nicky

Abart az sarf az sarf gits mayyytee.

Nope... I just bought it and I live about 100 miles south of Lyon and 150 miles west of Turin... Looking forward to driving it when I come to Lunnun for Xmas.

I had an 84 Uno 70S new when they came out and a 45S that a mate bought new in 87 and I bought off him circa 1990, but nothing except Lancias (got a couple of 1st gen Ypsilons) since then.

Question - anyone know if I can swap an LHD turbo rack to fit this car - perhaps a bit optimistic to hope I could just stick it on upside-down, but wondering if the bit that does the work comes undone and can be put in the 1100 rack.

The only thing I didn't like about my Unos 'way back when' is that they had 4 turns lock to lock, and that's way too slow. Was then and is now! Quite a few times in the 70S, which was a quick car, I arrived at wet bends and had a hard time winding the lock on quickly enough to get round the bend (especially as they understeer a bit too).

Obvious solution seems to be to fit a turbo rack, but LHD ones are a lot easier to find than RHD ones (especially round here!).

Cheers

Alan

Hi Alan, and welcome,

looked a nice example - for the sensible start price..,

Charlie

Thanks Charlie - yes, I thought so too - needs a bit of tlc but priced accordingly rather than trying to be greedy. The seller, Nicky, seems like a really nice bloke. I'll let you know how it all pans out - I've been on the forum since 2011, but I have only 'lurked' until now (I used to be a Lancia restorer - my company was called the same as my forum ID).
