Fiat Panda 1000 CLX 1992 'J' reg. M O T June 2017.
Condition - Man at mot station remarked on how good it is underneath. A repair (filler) has been made to the near side wheel arch about 30cm x 20cm - this has been rubbed down and painted. This was due to a small scrape which let in small amount of corrosion. Another small area of corrosion was at the front, bottom corner of the near side door this was about 30cm x 30cm which has been treated with anti-rust Kurrust, filled, rubbed down and painted same colour red. This is apparently very common on Fiat Pandas of this age, but the all round condition of the body unit is very good but not immaculate; it is all original. It has been kept under cover for 10 years and has been sprayed with waxed oil in the places that are likely to rust. Consequently it is a car with little or no corrosion. The interior is what you would expect on a car with just 52k on the clock so the fabric seats are good but not perfect. There is a Owners handbook and Haynes manual with this.

There is another Panda 1987 1000CL, same colour which could be used as a doner car for parts in the future. This could be purchased with the car above. It has no MOT - The nearside door is damaged and both the nearside windows have been taken out and the side mirror has gone. Its engine, gear box and all other things are complete. Some years ago the registration No. of this car lapsed. There are also 4 extra wheels with good tyres.

Cash on collection.

Did anyone here got it?
Yep; Me.
Now lives down here in Truro.
It had been sat 10 years in a shed.
The MOT that was done in June was done by "Blind Pugh", according to my local bloke as there is a hole near where trailing arm bolted to chassis. Also, imho, brakes should never have passed, but...my local bloke told me that it was as good underneath as he had seen before. Once timing (way, way, way out) was done, points replaced, carb stripped and cleaned, and set up for 2.5 on the co2 (whatever the hell that means - I have only ever set up timing statically!) it runs pretty sweet.
Vacuum advance diaphragm was split, so vac unit is ordered and on way, which should help the running even more (vac pipe is currently blanked off).
Jobs to do are: replace most of braking system consumables - parts all assembled and awaiting dry day/day off interface; wire it off underneath and reapply waxoyl after more careful inspection; get it in for prophylactic welding in 2 small areas.
I'm really keen to keep this one going as it is nice enough and worth a lot to us as a sidekick to my Sprinter ("classic" as well!)
Oh, and I will be sorting out a radio soon and making a couple pods for speakers to go in the dash parcel hammock.
(Just posted a question about oil breather hose before I saw this thread)
