Leo: John, I've finished working on your Panda.

John: Thanks Dad...!!! You have done great work. That Fiat sport steering wheel is mint.

Leo: No worries Son, enjoy.

£125 for a coil, more than an alternator

And that exhaust tip :ROFLMAO:

£125 for the coil, accelerator cable, vacuum advance, dizzy cap.. &.. Umm.. points?!?

When I got my Uno & read through the service history, I realised the elderly lady I`d got it from had been ripped off in a similar way to this. Its sadly fairly common. To top it off, when I looked the car over properly, it was very evident a lot of the things she`d paid for hadnt been done at all.

If you look closer John ( customers) is a son of Leo ( garage owner)

Would you rip of like that your son, or would you generate false/fake invoice to bump up the value of car your son want to sell ?

My partner went to look at this Panda as a possible purchase for me back in May. We were aware that the paperwork could have been made up since the owner's father allegedly carried out the work himself;). However, to be fair, my partner said that of all the Panda's he test drove for me, this one was the best one - it drives even better than the one I actually bought!

The only reason I didn't go for this Panda was because, at the time, it was on a classic car website and it was up for £1,350 which I thought was overpriced. In the end the owner said he would let me have it for £1,000 but the body work wasn't as good as the one I bought and I got that for £750.00.

Since this Panda has been up for sale for at least 3 months now, I'm guessing someone could probably get themselves a nice little car here with a bit careful negotiation.

Yes, points. Unlike the Uno a Panda this age does have them. To be honest the prices on the invoice don't look that outlandish, yes with a bit of light shopping around some parts can be had cheaper, or in some cases much cheaper, but that's not usually how garages work, they'll get from their regular suppliers. The question mark over the authenticity remains, but to be honest a car this age & price you buy according to what's in front of you when you look, not what's on the history anyway.
