Okay the 100+hp is a bit of a claim and the poor thing hasn't had much of a life from the looks of things but I have never seen an Abarth kitted Seicento with the factory sunroof before.

Without the original engine it isn't a future classic investment but fun none the less.

Does the car belong to anyone here?

It's a shame about the interior as well. That would be a modern equivalent to my Fantasia or a Cinquecento Soliel.

Having said that it's a shame about the sunroof as it would be a nice little toy with the brakes and engine upgrades. 1300 class stage rally car with the right cage but not with that roof.
It'd make a change from all the Micra's on the circuit.

Would it be worth getting hold of another Seicento and swapping the brakes, suspension and bits making the sunroof shell as original as possible and converting the conventional shell to track/rally/hill climb spec'?

Still 1108 on the log book so for the sake of a stamp the "professional" conversion wasn't.

Are you loosing the plot? :p -plenty of MPI's about with a factory fitted webasto sunroof, they were optional on all models inc SX & S.

I've never seen an Abarth Sporting with a Webasto before. Bidding frenzy so I'll pass. £499 was right-ish.

Seems pretty strange than they never bothered their arse to clean the expansion tank after what was obviously a monumental head gasket failure at some point in the cars life (perhaps on old engine).

Saying that, i spy some browned coolant overspilled on the wiring loom and oil cap too.

Even if there wasn't much up (don;t care about the HG on those engines, easy peasy and relatively cheap fix), more than enough to make me suspicious at the attention to detail paid elsewhere on the conversion.

Bit of a drop from the £1200 he was asking for in November, but like you i think the selling price was about right. If it was up to the standard of Todgers or CC1s work then it might have been worth what he was asking.
Never seen an Abarth with a Webasto? have you never looked closely at my profile pic! :)

Mine stands me at well over £4k so I want to be lain to rest in it, not sell it.... Lol
I think I could get more for my Ecu than the advertised car....??

Didn't even know he'd passed on.... & to think i accused you of losing the plot & not noticing things

I'm suprised that what appears to be a rather untidy car, messy engine bay etc with what appear to be ebay special seats along with a ludicrous BHP claim sold for so much money. It makes mine look like a massive bargain! It looks like unfinished project possibly undertaken by a chimp.

It's running a plastic inlet which is a severely limiting part along with a standard mani cat! Also I'd assume it has the standard 36mm TB and the focus induction kit that seems to give a reduction in power rather than a gain due to it's massive diameter. I'd be impressed if that's seeing more than 60bhp.

I suspect whoever bought that may be left rather disappointed.

Rant over....

I agree and thought the car was rare enough to be worth rescuing and putting the "tuned" bits into the original parts donor properly. ;)

watching his vid , sounds like its got a misfire when he thows the revs on , Zoom in on his picture of the engine and he has the leads on the wrong oder

hahaha, there has just been zero attention to detail on this car, it screams of the sort you might go and see with high hopes of it being better than it sounds, show up then walk away from pretty damn quickly again...
