It didn't sell @ 1700 - reserve not met

Looks nice and clean. I'd consider having it.

If he's cut corners by painting it with spray cans what else has he cut corners on? Who does that!?

I don't consider using aerosols as cutting corners - full cars have been resprayed like this before.

Re: Bargin fiat 500

Spraying a car with aerosol spray cans is cutting corners. No question.

Why?

You can get a very good finish with aerosols - some people can't afford to use a sprayshop but they can invest time in the prep, etc. - so how's that cutting corners? Cutting corners involves not putting enough effort into the prep, not getting the finish glass smooth etc. The paint finish on that 500 looks pretty decent to me.

1K worth of posts!

Re: Bargin fiat 500

Congrats on 1000 posts.

Personally I'd rather save for a bit and get a proper spray job done. I know you can get a decent enough finish with aerosols, but it's not ideal.

Cheers Steve

Yeah I know it ain't ideal, and using a compressor is best, but you may need to respray pretty sharpish (e.g. after vandalism, etc) and you simply can't afford bodyshop prices, so aerosols are the only option. Also its a good opportunity to learn how to do a bit of spray painting, prep etc.
