This ebay link is for a Fiat Punto Mk2 Speedo Unit to upgrade from your rubbish standard dash with only a speedo and petrol gauge!
This includes the extra functions such as MPG calculations, average speed, journey time, range left in tank, etc.
But most importantly it adds a Rev and engine Temp gauge to your dash without the need to mess with any wires. Simply plug in an drive away.
The unit is in great condition, all buttons functional with all gauges working.
Any questions are welcome and good luck!
Please note you may need to get the mileage reset by your local Fiat garage or auto electricians.

ive recently tried this... putting an 04 clocks into a 52 plate mk2..
only the handbrake light and door open light worked.... needles didnt move...
think it has to be re-mapped by fiat

You must mean clocks from a mk2b? The wiring in them is completely different to the mk2 so they will never work!

These clocks are for a Mk2 (99 - 2003) only.

I did this on my old Mk2 Punto, they do just plug and go. Everything works including the rev counter. I did need to get the digital display reset by Fiat though as it was flashing. A good upgrade.

Same as. How much did it cost you from fiat to be reset?

Cost me £16 but I kicked off, they were gonna charge me £60!

i got it done once by a mobile electriction. Was suprised as everyone else told me now. that cost me 70. then like an idiot i did the same thing again and it started flashing again. i called the same guy and he told me he wasn't allowed to do it anymore. So i went into fiat and they wanted to charge me £60 just for someone to look at it. I think i will go in and do the anoying customer role play. Sure i will get it done for cheeper. cheers guys.

Book your car in for it and dont mention anything about price, then when its ready to pick up kick off and say that you were quoted £16 over the phone (even if you werent) and if it was going to be more they should have told you!

Try and make sure theres a few customers waiting as well to hear you boot off! Theyll soon give in! (y)

I have just been to local breaker who specialises in Punto's. They said that you can not upgrade the dials.

I have a Punto Mk2 1.2 8v X reg year 2000.

Are they correct? Little confused, do not want to part with my money until I know it works.

Cheers

wow good job on bumping a thread that was made 4 years ago...(n)

regarding your question, as long as you get some mk2 dials, from the 1.2 sporting or active then they should fit and work perfectly... some breakers are complete knobs when asking questiong about stuff.

Cheers. New to this, was not sure where to start. I'm going to give a try. Three months back had the temp warning light come on 100 yards from a motorway exit. That was still too far to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
