I like this one, appeals as is late model, twin sunnied, grey plastic bits inside (it's a fetish I have) and most importantly red.

It's a bit far away being in Suffolk and right now I don't have any space to store one (unless* I take the fence down and park it in the back garden :chin:)

Even if it's beyond saving it would make a useful parts car with that injected running gear.

Anyone near enough or fancies a bit of a road trip to see it for me? (and no trying to buy those spare doors! ;p)

Before I spend another day travelling down darn sarf on the train!

Panda colour the guy's after £500-ish. On my watch list for the five speed box. ;)

I think the accident damage will put people off, and the broken drivers window and the possibility that it's a cat c/d - (I contacted the seller and it's had a pay out on it though they didn't know the cat status) too.

I'm dissapointed with Sky sports pandas lack of grunt though the twin sunnies are lovely = this car could well be a better solution than an engine transplant in sky.

I'm sorry but if they've had a payout they will have been told the what cat it is.

Yep, I replied to the seller saying I would continue to bid only if the car wasn't a cat c or d.

Yesterday he confirmed it is a cat c, apparently his broker didn't tell him!

Still interested although Sky panda would have to go if I got this one:rolleyes:

No idea whether to like or dislike this John.

All I can really say about your recent number of additions is:

:nutter:

I agree completely with both of the above statements :D

At best it's a runaround for summer with those twin sunnies, at worst it's a parts car for Fizzle.

Saying that if it goes as well as Fizzle and is in reasonable nick there is no way I would break it.

There is an odd trend in me buying MK2 pandas - they just keep costing me less to buy!

Storage is now an issue, I will need to sort out something PDQ or that yard fence is coming down very soon....

There is an odd trend with you buying mk3 Panda's too - 2 in a week is good going by anyone's standards. :slayer:

I've completely lost track of what mk2 Panda's you've got now....

Mk4 Cross would complete the set (and the bankruptcy) nicely!

:D

Fizz

4x4

Sky

and the one on here which I'm collecting on Sunday - if work will let me off!

Gertie is a Lancia/Autobianchi y10 and 200 miles away so doesn't count!

BTW

If anyone in the general area of Halifax (50miles all ways) and wants a lovely lawn/drive ornament please contact me!(y)

Right back at ya! :p

Replied before I saw this!

So only the 4 x mk2's then? Plus a Y10, 3 x mk3's, and a potential mk4. In all honesty I now have to work out what I've got, so keep up the good work & I won't feel so :nutter:

In a couple of weeks, I maybe in your vicinity... I need to see the collection again. (Ok, mainly the Alessi :D )

I was only just thinking about meeting up for a original Panday reunion this morning!

More than welcome for a viewing - it's on public display outside my house or Dunelm Halifax if I'm working ;)

I shan't be collecting the WooFeR today as I can't get out of the none panda related activity above :(

All set for another journey darn sarf to the dreaming spires of Cambridge next Saturday though. :)

My insurance company won't insure this without a Vehicle inspection certificate sight of the MOT and proof it has been professionally repaired.

Basically I'm stuffed for a collection by train and then driving it home.

The owner was unaware of this and his insurer had reinsured him for the vehicle so presumably his insurance is invalid too?

Looks like I've wasted money on train ticket

I'll get some transporter quotes.

Already arranged for a joiner to put gates in the garden fence too!

Lots of info on the .gov.uk site John - can't seem to post a link for some reason!! :bang:

You won't get a V5 until it's been for a VIC. You need to
Pay for that £41, and you'll need to be insured to get there (sounds like that's an issue). The VIC is simply that - a check of the identity - they can prohibit the car if it's unsafe, but it's not a check of the repairs (presumably why the insurer wants proof of repair).

Maybe the insurer will cover you to take it for the VIC?

Jon Most Easterly Pandas might be able to give some pointers from an insurance point of view.

My mate Kev has an umbrella trade policy and either recovery frame or trailer if needs be. Sounds like a Cat D or C that should have been declared in the sale. The nearest vosa iva joint is next to Peterborough prison. It may be worth booking the car in there to get home via them. ;)

It's turning out to be a PITA, I have got the bumper brackets to straighten up the bumper, the sale includes two doors so the broken drivers window is sorted, bonnet is ok dented, no damage to radiator though I suspect the headlight aim will have been affected.

The Peterborough iva/vosa isn't open on a saturday :(

The seller would probably never have claimed on his insurance had they known the trouble it causes.

Cheapest trailering quote is £162 so far though doubt it will get any better.

Dammit! I was really looking forward to this one too!
