5 extra horses for your 999. Complete with that lovely cast pulley.

Same lift, slightly longer duration, slightly more retarded timing (I think) Theoretically slightly better but probably not enough to be worth a swap out.Is this better or worse than the 1108 cam?
Note: this is compared to the Panda Selecta/Uno etc contemporary 1108s, if you're thinking of the 'cinq I think that got a slightly better cam again actually.Same lift, slightly longer duration, slightly more retarded timing (I think) Theoretically slightly better but probably not enough to be worth a swap out.

That 'cento cam is a useful upgrade to the Panda though, so given all those folks that have upgraded to tasty 866 jobbies, where are all the cheap 1108 cams they've pulled out?Which in turn works better with a punto 75 (866) cam, Given they are all technically interchangeable, wonder what an 866 cam would do on a 999cc lump... sure i read it somewhere years back but that was before i went into Fiat retirement
4x4 would be a better bet as you know it's still got the mechanical fuel pump driveIt would be for the 999cc carbed panda, cinqy has been retired from my fleet

(sigh) ah well, I've not gone with new pistons so I'll let you in on this one then. Promise not to tell anyone! Think you will still need gudgeon pins but the conrods are there which seem to be hard to find. That's pretty much your bottom end sorted then (unless you need the flywheel, don't know if that will marry up with the crankshaft, 1108 uses a bigger one)Er yeah (nods and pretends he understands whats been said)
I put in a cheeky offer for the 1108 krankyshaft and bearings - I can have them for £55 - fan-dabby-dozie!
Then (if bought) I'm committed to finding the rest of the bits (whatever they are)
Yup, much. I'd say start with the 4x4 cam and a good service (try out the cam from your scruffy 4x4 in the Sky, I assume that's the one you're looking at, see what difference it makes)This is getting quite costly, maybe it would be cheaper to cannabalise a 1108 engine instead?
