You mean my first post was too long :)
Nope, onemanmade has new-fangled chimp style door handles, not proper ones like ours.

I was going to thank you for coming on here and explaining... -- but wonder why (unless I've misunderstood) you've suddenly singled me out (or maybe this last bit was aimed at purple haze...)?

I'm not going to get into any sort of argument, here, though: it's not my way (as others will bear witness...) -- and I truly thought, from what you'd written, that you'd understood why we all had our doubts. There have been a lot of Pandas for sale, recently, with very dubious histories (e.g. the Super that, overnight, became a Bianca); and we've been inundated with good-condition cars being broken only for profit by a guy we've christened "the Panda Killer". We are therefore wary -- as lovers of these cars: as you obviously are, too -- of anything that has the faintest whiff of fish....

To be honest, I would have loved to have bought this: but health problems mean that I can no longer drive manual cars safely; and therefore will never have the joy of driving my dream car -- which would have been a Mk1 4x4 (the first Panda I ever drove: way back in the 1980s). :(

I know you've not been on here, actively: so are unaware of recent goings on; and, as you yourself have said, can have problems being 'too' honest. I have no issue with anyone that speaks their mind -- if justified... -- but I thought you would have been grateful that someone on here was kind enough to draw members' attention to the sale of your car, rather than have a dig....

That's all she wrote....

Hi fellow Panda enthusiasts,
I am the present owner of this Panda Sisley on ebay.
First of all, would like to thank John for alerting me that the usual Fiat armchair experts have been panda spotting again

:rumour::rumour::rumour:
Although I have been a forum member for many many years I don't post or comment because I am a bit too forthright in the words I use. I don't like offending people in their taste of cars or modifications.
Ref my personal taste in cars. Current collection of Panda's :
1. 13 plate Green twinair 4x4
2. 2013 White twinair 4x4
3. 2007 silver 4x4 13k only
4. 56 plate blue 4x4 home abroad
5. Sisley on ebay
6. another Sisley for home abroad
Others present cars :
1. Autobianchi y10 s3 96
2. Ypsilon 98 1.2
3. Punto with Evo 2 Integrale engine
4. Delta Integrale Evo 1
5. 2 x Lancia Fulvia
the list continues..
Have collected these cars for 30+ years so know my way around them quite well. [QUOTEuplofHi.fiatcdn.com/images/smilies/thumb.gif[/IMG]
Anyway back to the Sisley..
Just to put things right, going to comment on what you guys have been saying in my normal forthright way. Not intending to offend anyone.

"Grille should be colour coded." -- I have the original red grille with no damage. The buyer can choose which one they prefer. The metallic grey grille is an original Sisley one too. The Sisley + Fiat badges are on it, just hard to see in the photos, as I am not a professional photographer.
tongue.gif

"Do they mean it will come with correct wheels ?" -- Both sets of wheels are included in the sale.
wink.gif

"What is uprated engine ?" -- The engine is 1108cc from my Lancia Y10 55 bhp. Genuine 35k miles from new. New headgasket, waterpump, belt kit fitted, seals/clutch, ht leads + quality coil etc etc when it was fitted so it is the ultimate in reliability.
"Car was involved in a front n/s accident for sure" -- No it was not. Bonnet was unbolted to remove engine, would only take a few minutes to allign correctly. With so many cars, have just not got round to it. Probably only take 2 seconds if you are as skilled as Kolza is
biggrin.gif

"Would have to track down Sisley grille with badges" -- No you wouldn't. The grey one and red one are both Sisley grilles. Take your pick.
cool.gif

"Are they referencing the 4x4 cam engine ?" -- No Y10 1108 is 55bhp standard.
thumb.gif

"Why no under bonnet pics ?"
"Not enough shots of interior" -- Because ebay only let you upload 12 pictures.
thumb_down.gif
Any inspection is welcome means if you are genuinely interested come and have a look. Or get a local forum member to look for you
idea.gif

"Wheels are wrong" -- 175 / 65 / 14 michelin balloon tyres and wheels from mk3 Panda 4x4 are my preference for higher gearing, increased ground clearance and comfort.
You're welcome to put the Sisley wheels on if that's what you prefer.
"Is armrest quite short or is it just me ?" -- Lol. Yes it is just you. You must have been on the beers when you said that. It's a door handle not an armrest by the way. And it's the normal length

I didn't realise ebay was a Fiat forum concours d'elegance show. Although with some work this car could be concours one day.
Anyone who appreciates how much work and care has gone into this Panda to keep it in this condition is welcome to contact me on the phone number provided in the listing.
If I don't answer straight away, leave a message or text as I don't like phones as much as I like Panda's, if you know what i mean
wink.gif

I will try to come to a forum meet before i emigrate, to make sure all posters on this topic have their cars to the same standard as they judge others by.
thumb.gif

I don't have much time these days as having so many cars is a second full time job on top of a normal life. So can't guarantee I will be on the forum again for a while. Any questions, you know my numbers.

Hi, thanks for coming on to answer my queries! And thanks to firstcar-Y10 for pointing out there are two different styles of armrest/door handle (as it does both, certainly on mine I can use both terms :ROFLMAO:)

The fiat forum certainly isn't a concours only forum, and you are welcome to look through my progress log as testament to this, however at the sort of price you are asking for your Sisley (which given the information we now know is probably justified) people are naturally going to speculate and want to know more about your lovely car. Maybe you could edit your ad to include these details? I'm sure they would love yo know what kind of engine is in it :) and that the original colour coded grille is included. You can also upload more pics and put them in the description part for free just so you know :)

Finally I want to say good luck with the sale, its just the Sisley I am looking for (in a years time) and personal taste is very subjective, some go for originality, others for modifications. I get what you are saying about coming across as forthright in your wording, I too can come across like this at times :(

Sorry if you thought I was being overly critical, its just that I want to know as much as i can about these cars before I buy one, and talking about and comparing them is a good way to do it :)

Is it just me or is that armrest quite short?

Looking at this on my phone so the pics aren't great.

Earlier Pandas had smaller armrests so if yours are the later ones that could explain it.

Grille and bonnet scoop could be original. The owner seems to be keen on black detailing and may have just painted them.

I have a Sisley grille in this colour if its the only thing stopping you buying it Cameron. (y) ;)

So if you have a Sisley with twin sunnies you lose the bars of the roof rack

Edit: Just noticed I've missed a whole second page of posts, including the owners explanation.

About 2000 is stopping me buying it :ROFLMAO:

It will happen some day soon though (y)

The first sisley I saw had twin sunnies which I think is the best set up...(y)

The rear one can be propped up by slotting the lever into the catch, but not fully opened easily. Removing the bars does help.

Hi all,
I was so curious if anyone would reply to my first post on Fiat Forum I just had to come back and check as soon as I finished work today :) :tempt:
Would like to say to all of you, don't take anything I said to heart. It's all in the spirit of the "tongue in cheek" friendly classic Panda section of Fiat Forum. :p
Have enjoyed reading all your posts and will continue to do so from where I am moving to in the middle of nowhere. I seem to have ended up with a personal off road course. I am sure my other Sisley and Panda 4x4s will absolutely love it.
If any of you friendly forum members would like to spend some time in the middle of nowhere with no limits to where you can drive your Panda 4x4, you are welcome. It's only 5000km away, but that's nothing for a Panda. Free bottle of wine to the first person that can get up that mountain on the right with their Panda 4x4, ;)

Dunno what it is about these little cars but I just love them. Well I do know, but I will probably end up writing a lecture here on it if I am not careful. Something to do with the simple, reliable, unstoppable fun. :worship:
Anyways, the Sisley came from a forum member and I would like it to go to one now too. Ideally someone obsessed with details and able to keep it in good order, a bit like you guys.
I am hoping the Sisley can find a good home.
That is more important than the price to me, so there is a 20% discount for forum members, if any forum members are interested. :woot:
Thanks for everyone's input, it has been a fun experience despite my lack of pc skills being pre-computer generation.
I hope no-one took offence as that was not my intention.
Happy panda-ing to you all. 2 wheelers or 4. (y)

I am bidding on the Sisley!

Good lad!

Ps. Have you read the thread from post#1?
Looks like it was bought by someone as investement as not much has change since 06/2014. I recon that reserve will not be met on this one. Good luck.

Well my max is £2K....

This is a lovely sisley @lukmek I hope you get it! If you happen not to want the front bullbar I can find a home for it... ;) :ROFLMAO:

To be Honest I am not planning to keep either of the bullbar...I much prefer the lights grills and for me the car looks "slender" without the bars
You can have them both...
Hopefully I will win the car... then I can open a bidding war for the bullbars here (y):D
