Disclaimer - I am not the owner of this wee X1/9 - merely a sad knacker who trawls through ebay on a night looking at classic cars and dreaming about them, I contacted the person who is selling this X1/9 to mention the forum and she asked me to mention it to you all in the hope that it can be restored and not just dismantled. the ad reprinted below. For piccies go the ebay and put in ref.

cheers

Fiat Bertone X1/9 Sports Car - Special Edition Gran Finale Red Metallic Paint
We have owned this car since 2002, and for the first few years it ran great, without a problem. The slave cylinder went, and we never got time to fix it, even though we bought one (included if we can find it!). It has been stored outside under a tarpolin, and some vandals got to it, and bent the boot cover, and broke the drivers sidelight window, the interior needs replacing, as this was badly ripped when we bought it, but it is a fantastic project for someone, or for the parts. The wheels alone are worth the asking price.
It has had 3 owners before me, and I have it last MOT with a milage of 58160, Petrol engine, 2 seats. None of the mod-cons, but this is what makes this a real enthusiasts toy, and a cheap little play car to run. I have many a fab day out, as the roof is targa and comes off completly, giving you that convertible feel, without all the mechanicals to go wrong (unless your arm hurts!).
The registration is included in the price, and we are starting at a price we have been offered from the scrap man for him to come and take it away. This would be such a same, as the engine, wheels, and most of the body work is fine, and would be worth more broken up for parts, but we dont have the time. It would be useful for anyone needing for spares, and if you have something you need specifically, please ask the question and we will be happy to help.
The HT leads were cut when the car was vandallised, and to make it clear this is being sold as a non-runner, for spares and repair, however the engine ran well before it was vandallised.
