Now the proud owner (since PH tipped us off at Cranleigh last weekend). Here she is being fettled on my driveway before handing over to our daughter.
Good points - almost rust free (exceptions are trailing arms, rear suspension springs, part of rear axle assembly). Body & doors 100%. Extremely low miles 21k verified with every old MOT present. Paint in excellent condition (garaged all it's life).
Bad points - very little servicing done in it's low miles. Last recorded oil change 8 years ago. Original Michelin rear tyres hardly worn but badly perished, cheapo fronts. Minor MOT advisories being sorted. Evidence of (decent quality) body repairs and respray some time ago.
I've changed the oil, filter, air filter, plugs, cleaned the "carb", repaired seized rear brake, cleaned & painted wheels (original centre trims still under the replacement trims fitted). Repaired minor damage to rear bumper mounting. Brake fluid half replaced (see other thread for tech difficulty bleeding rear brakes). Wiper blades replaced, new Goodyear tyres all round tomorrow.
Cambelt, rear light lens and trailing arms next.
