He also fitted a coupe steering wheel in exactly the way I suggested it could be done.
Q: Absolutely mint! Thats all i can say, love it! How did you get the coupe steering wheel to fit? I can't fit it to my HGT, the spline is different on the steering column to the spline hole on the wheel? Mike 12-Feb-11

A: On the base of the steering wheel where the splines are, you have to remove the spline socket by removing the welding spots and then weld it to the coupe steering wheel. On the back of the coupe steering wheel, the rubber has to be shaped to the steering column shroud so you don't get any rubbing noises when you turn the wheel. I would advise others to do so as they could easily mess it up unless they are very experienced. Cheers, Marco.
