Problem with cars with such low mileage is they might not have been serviced properly and might need some work done on perishable things like belts, brakes and tyres. So probably one for those with a bit of knowledge and time.

Posts: 630 Thanks: 18 Trader Rating: 0 | Re: 2k E Plate panda Surely the value is what people are prepaired to pay for it. If I was a rich man I`d snap all these low mileage mint cars up & put them all in a large air conditioned dehumidified warehouse, as in the future, they will all vanish. I doubt Panda`s will ever be mega money, very few `normal` Fiats get to that stage unfortunately. As an example, I had a 1 owner 17,500 mile 1993 `K` reg Sierra 2.0i GLS twin cam about 8 months ago. I`m not into Fords, but it is in unbelievable condition, to the point of having its original exhaust with build stickers still on & still on her original Goodyear NCT tyres... even the exhaust manifold was barely rusted. I had it up for £2250.. I had a fair amount of interest, but the best offer was £1700 from a friend & he`s still got it (and is now looking to sell it). The point is, the Sierra cost around 3 times more than the Panda new, theres alot more Ford fans than Fiat fans & the Sierra has done a few 1000 miles less, yet its virtually the same price. Theres also a dealer near me, a strange place that puts the low mileage old cars inside & the modern expensive cars outside. I recently noticed he has a 1988 Fiat Regata up for £2495.... (his other cars include an 86 1.8 Carlton estate for £3000 & a 91 Audi 90 2.3E Auto, on a budget irish plate, for an astounding £4000) Thats REAL optimism.... ![]() I would aim to get the Panda for £1500 if its in the condition I`d expect, not because its not worth £2000, but because I never pay screen price on cars!

As far as the Panda`s concerned, the way I look at it is 1. how desirable is it, & 2. how easy would it be to find another one. You should also consider how easy it would be to sell on (preferably for the same amount you paid) with cars like this. 10,000 mile Panda`s are pretty rare & as such I`d pay £1500. Funnily enough, I`m currently trying to get another very low mileage, 1 owner, 1988 750 Panda from the daughter of the lady who owned it. I used to work on it for the mother occasionally & I know its all mint & genuine, although the paints now gone matted & the interior is getting mouldy. Its been standing for over a year (outside), I keep explaining to her that this isnt the best way to store a 20 year old Fiat but she`s humming & harring...
