People, staff meeting has been cancelled. You all have one goal today: to get Vincent Chase’s brother, Johnny Chase, a job. Any job! I don’t care if it’s a porn shoot in which he is being gang raped by a gaggle of silverback apes, if there are cameras rolling, everybody wins. 10 grand for anyone that can deliver this to me, today.

Re: 240z......droolworthy

Always wanted one. Wouldnt pay 35k for one though, as i'd probably have a american v8 stuck in it.

Very popular conversion over there and some very nice examples knocking about

£35K is way overpriced. It IS very nice I admit!

Re: 240z......droolworthy

yes but IS IT overpriced?

people don't realise how much it costs in this country to get a car restored to that quality.

and why the funk woud you put anything american near it!?

the jap straight 6 is one of the best pieces of metal to ever leave their shores, they are very loose and rev happy

Yes.

£35K will also get you a lesser model restored Ferrari, Aston Martin, Maserati etc. etc. The cost of restoration does not equal the final value of a car as many of us know to our cost. The car is only worth what the market is willing to pay for it and I doubt many people would be willing to pay that much for what was originally a relatively cheap Jap compact sports car.

Probably because there is an entire tuning industry built up around small block Yank V8's and there are also conversion kits available. Yes, you can also tune the Datsun straight six but you'll get far more power for your £/ $ if you choose to tune a Yank V8 instead.

So are the small block Chevy and Ford V8's! Plus whatever you do to a straight six it will never have the sound of a V8. A V8 rumble and roar fits the looks of the 240Z more than a straight six does.

Still, it's all rather irrelevant as there's no way most of us can afford £35K for a 240Z anyway

prefer the howl of a 6 to an 8, unless its a fully breathed 8, and even then, depends which one

Gotta love a classic straight 6, one in the old jags is a monster

though some v8s are extremely nice

and if it does sell at that price, well then its worth that money, its only worth what your wiling to pay
