Mk1 Uno Eleganza 1989 - a bit expensive!

Shame that the starting bid is a bit on the high side as this would make a stylish little runabout. Vehicle was previously impounded and I doubt it will make the starting bid. There've been other vehicles like this on here and rather than accept sensible offers they will scrap it if it doesn't make £275

I would guess that 275 is the costs that need to be recouped.

The thing is, a company like this advertised a similar Uno a while back. They wouldn't take offers below 275 and instead scrapped the car when no-one bid. Scrap value would be lucky to make more the £40 so it seems a shame that they won't be more realistic with their opening bid. They won't get £275 but stand to make quite a bit more than £40. Plus an old Uno might offer some valuable (and getting rare) spares or get put back on the road.

As the auction says the car owes £273 so must sell for that or be legally scrapped. Unfortunately the rear quarter is dented otherwise it looks a reasonably clean car. It'll be off to the scrapper though I reckon.
