Re: HF Turbo - in need of work

I'm confused? I thought they where 2.0 8v or 16v's as opposed to a 1.6 turbo?

Re: HF Turbo - in need of work

Good luck chap. I fear you're buying into a money pit there but it would be great to see another HF saved as it does seem that only the grale's are worthy of saving to most.

I have a special place in my heart for the HF it has to be said: -

I'll need it. All I need to do now is figure out how to get her back up here...

Re: HF Turbo - in need of work

I did have a look at that ebay ad as well as its not far from me, and love the Martini turbo, very rare now, but with an impeding house move not the best time to take on a project when my own integrale needs to be MOT'd

As said HF turbo is 1.6L 8V turbo 140bhp as standard in the injection model as this is, or 130bhp on the v.v.rare early model with carb.

I have seen the car in Al's pic first hand at a Lancia AGM day oh near two years ago when I met him and his brother, and its a great looking car.

I also sold the original Recaro alcantara interior from my integrale when i changed to the later hi-back leather Recaro interior to a guy from Kent with a red HF turbo about 2 years back, he had rebuilt it himself even though everyone said don't bother, welding in new rear struts, removed all rust, got it fully respray and i have seen it at a few Lancia meets and it still looks brilliant.

I think in years to come the few remaining clean original HF turbo's will command good money as many people love the original lines of the Delta before it became all swollen as the car was stretched to make the most of rally regs.

PS if I could help in anyway I would, but have no trailer or space to store it until you could get it back to Scotland, though I may know someone in the Cambridgeshire area who runs a business and happens to have acres of land on his site and a 16V integrale sitting on it doing nothing as there is no engine for it who may allow you to leave the car there until you could get it up the road if the seller is reluctant for you to leave it at his place.

You can sometimes hire trailers, and I know fivehundred on here who lives in Milton Keynes has a trailer and may for a fee help you move it, sure he offered to someone before, so hopefully he will see this and say if this is the case and I haven't mixed him up with someone else.

Aaron.

Re: HF Turbo - in need of work

If it was as easy as renting a trailer i would. sadly it's not. the Brava would die trying to pull her home. I may take you and your friend up on that offer if its ok. I dont want to see this car rust to bits. plus i have had a soft spot for deltas ever since i was a little kid. If i need to pay someone to bring it up here. so be it.
