Is it wrong?

For a complete mechanical novice to be considering something like this for a wee toy?

Re: Is it wrong?

No but the air cooled ones are so much more amusing.

Re: Is it wrong?

I think it *might* be a good idea!
I had one a few years ago, in fact i think i still have a few bits left, a mirror at least 1 cyl. head and an almost new exhaust, i also had a reprint of a workshop manual genuine Fiat as i don`t think Haynes did one for the 700cc engine but i`m not sure. I wonder if i still have it........
I loved the car, just wasn`t big enough for me, the wife and 3 children!

Re: Is it wrong?

and you want wind DOWN windows???

seen quite a few of them knocking about this last year, theres one lives about 150m away from me at home, though, that said theres a 2002Ti turbo 200m the other way up the road but it NEVER comes out to play, unlike the 126, which is used EVERY day, which is how it should be

Not at all, gotta learn somewhere and what better than a simple car with a basic setup. Not that i know much about these but my first cars were classic beetles and having done work on them you get a good basic(ish) knowledge of how stuff works on a nice simple car, makes trying to figure out more technical stuff on modern cars easier when you got the background know how
