Be sure to have heavy weights for the corners and hammer-in tie-down stakes for where it's possible to use them.

This is exactly the sort of thing I think we need. The price of them is almost unimportant as we save so much on van an storage expenses. These could be stored in a shed and transported in the back of a car easily enough (y)

Aren't we on concrete at Brooklands? Would need very heavy weights to hold them down there.

New attraction perhaps?...... "The Fiat Forum parachuting display team".

Well spotted dav we do have some weights currently but I suppose we could get some more? If anyone has an old engine block they want to donate we'll take it :)

Yeah but no but yeah...

Buy more. £100 per dome and side panels at £25. Not silly money TBH.

I see these domes a lot at shows, - certainly filling them solid with crowds isn't great but then what is?

A FF show is about the cars so people will be outside unless there's pouring rain. When that happens people will put up and then be out as soon as it clears. AND they have their own cars to shelter in.

As for people sitting down - perhaps this is what the FF should be offering. Space for exhibitors to place a pull-up banner(s) and talk to potential customers over a coffee.

I think three domes in line would look really cool. 5 domes to form a zig-zag would be stunning. At a price of course.

This is a very good point ben we hardly stand in it when the suns out and we could have, say three of them dotted about or in a line. One could be for food (if we're still doing it) one for chillin in and one for something like diagnostics. They can be more a focal point rather than somewhere to stand during the entire show.

2 of them = 6 engine blocks, 3 of them = 8 engine blocks:  Wasn't the idea to make it easier to transport? ;)

Perhaps you could you carry the 8 engine blocks in the 126. :ROFLMAO:

I like the three inline idea with one being a diagnostic tent, i'd be willing to bring along my MES unit to help out with that, maybe even charge a £5 FF donation for doing it at the show. That way any we do helps out not only the owner (hopefully member) but also the forum.

Plus the Deluxe version is currently £280 each on Amazon.

FF has MES Multiplexed and does use it at shows if people need it :)

Yes last year (and I think this year at brooklands) dom set up a diagnostic area with that in mind. I called it "diagnosic dom" and proved quite popular I belive

The more things we can offer the members the better it would be its just we need people to man the stands as it were. If we have the numbers then there's no stopping us. It's just getting people to want to help out.

What show's do we do each year and I'll see which ones I can attend and help out at ?

Well show season has come to an end for us this year but we tend to do three a year - but brooklands in Surrey is the one fixed located one (Weybridge in Surrey) which is an absolute MUST! The other two move around a bit so it could be anywhere.

If we get the marquee issue sorted, and it's easier to move about I hoping we could do more (y)

Can you offer it to a local organization such as the scouts to use and store on the condition that you have it for certain times of the year?

There must be an organization that might want to share it, amateur radio club, Freegle group, so on.
Perhaps an ad in the paper might help.

I suggested that on paGE 1,;)
i THINK THE BIGGEST ISSUE IS HOW AWKWARD / LABOUR INTENSIVE IT IS TO ACTUALLY GET BUILT..

SORRY ABOUT THE KEY BOARD..

We've just done this, and the people we had it on loan to no longer want it, which left us in this predicament. :(

For me at least, it is far too labour intensive to built it.

If the cheaper (Coleman) option proved to be any good, it would also open up the possibility of having more than one set (one for south of England, one for North?) as they don't take up much space so hopefully more people would be able to offer storage/transport. That would make transport logistics simpler, and if the need ever arose, you could bring them all together at a venue to make a very large marquee/tent/shelter/scale model of Sangatte*
