If you weren't logged in though, how would it know the last unread post? Post makers are stored in the database against login id.

A link to the last post not last unread post. Just as there is on the full version in the form of the arrow.

Currently there is text that says:
Last Post: ben, 8 Minutes Ago

I would like it to be linked just like the arrow on the full template.

Last Post: ben, 8 Minutes Ago

OK I had a chance to sit down a look at the mobile site...

And i think its pretty ok how it is, I think the only thing that need adding is the guides really.

I think you could drop the cool wall off it, don't think you will be looking to do that if you are using the mobile site but its not doing any harm being there. Same goes for all the online users etc at the bottom - not needed but no harm in leaving it there.

If anything just update the skin to match the current forum colour scheme is all i can really think of.

I suppose it's useful to have a "lite" version of the forum for poor signal areas but I find it visually very unappealing and would only use it as a last resort.

Anything that would improve the visual look of the site would be appreciated.

Is it just me or doesn't the title grey out when the thread is read on the mobile site?

Classifieds. Mods are all set to pounce on anyone putting up a for sale ad in the wrong section but using the mobile version you cannot access the classified section, or even see it exists at all.
And yes I'd echo Dragon mans comment earlier on using the full pc version on an android device, the black notification bar doesn't scroll away with the rest of the screen, it just sits across the middle of the screen. Tried several browsers on several devices, same thing.

I always use the PC mode on my iPhone5 and I works very well so please don't change that if possible. Only problem I have with the phone is only being able to upload 1 photo to a post from the phone, not sure if that's a phone thing or something to do with the forum? Would be great to be able to post more photos though (y)

Mobile sites are (or should be) all about performance.

Fast loading times and simplicity. The bells and whistles just aren't needed (or wanted when it's not connected via a wifi). It's very much a "does the job" scenario.

I think it's ok as it is/was, nice, simple, clean.

All it really needs is access to guides and Classifieds, guides especially bearing in mind folk might want to look at them whilst out doing something on their car.

I almost always use the mobile site. It works better than the full version with my mobile. I too would like to see classifieds. I would also like to see notifications as I tend to miss things like quotes and likes from time to time. I'd also like the ability to like and thank posts as I feel a bit mean not being able to do that on my phone. I almost never access the full site these days as the laptop is so slow. I also miss the arcade for playing games. :)

I have an iPhone 6 Plus and prefer using the mobile site because the app isn't optimised for my phone. Every time I load the mobile site the box thing for the App Store crops up asking me to use the app. Any way to turn that off?

It's the top part of this screenshot:

ben - pretty sure I've recommended this before, but change forum software to xenforo. Much better software, easy to use on any device as it's 100% responsive.
Way too much customisation with this software I'm afraid.

Well - of course, it would be possible, I'd just need to rewrite them all - but I'm not sure what it could offer much more than what we have now.

It would save rewriting the mobile theme wouldn't it? The forum I'm a member of has seen a massive spike in posts since changing software.

Doing the theme is a lot easier than rewriting every software modification we've used :)

It was something I was seriously considering before, but until they get a "must have" feature, I'm not sure it would be worth it.

Not saying it won't happen in the future though :)

Well yeah but I think moving to the new software would be a massive improvement even though it's a lot of work.

In what way? What features does it have over this?

Not features persay it just works so much better, things like you can paste pics directly into a post instead of taking ages attaching them inserting, you can bold/underline/etc live instead of it inserting code. It's so much more user friendly, 100% responsive so doesn't matter what device you use it on.

There's a resource plugin for guides.

I believe there's a classifieds plugin.
