If anyone can help. The outer skin on my back box has had it. Since this has gone between 30-75mph the in cockpit noise is horrendous, is it possible to get someone to stick a new outer skin on for me, as I've been told there is nothing else wrong with the exhaust, or is it worth just forking out for a new one?

If it's the new one is there any alternatives to the fiat straight swap price of between £400-600?

Just a back box? You could get a ragazzon or supersprint for cheaper than that and they're stainless.

right so after speaking to Abarth today, according to my chassis number I would need to order both the back box and centre pipe. ive taken a look underneath and currently my box and pipe are 1 unit, so it looks like the parts system has changed.

next question, my current centre pipe doesn't look like it has a silencer on, it just goes from the backbox to the joint at the front of the car?

so going by this am I alright ordering a ragazzon box and a standard centre replacement centre pipe?

I couldn't tell you if the back box fits a standard centre pipe but you can order ragazzons centre pip and back box for about £500 and its stainless. The abarth model doesn't have a centre silencer as standard, they're pretty quiet cars really you could go full straight pipe and it wouldn't be as loud as your average straight pipes car.

That's what yours would sound like on full straight pipe and if you ask me it's fairly quiet for straight pipe and would work out a lot cheaper for you.

That does sound sweet. But after taking your advice and actually managing to speak to someone who knows Abarth parts earlier it looks like im going to go with the Ragazzon back box and save myself a fortune!

next stop wheel bearings..

Hey you could still get a straight pipe back box i think they're about £280 and you'd still have a full straight pipe then :p but glad to hear I've helped save you some money!

Another option would be to find the nearest Powerflow exhaust centre you can do this by going on their webpage and entering your postcode.
You can then have a custom exhaust fabricated a stainless straight centre section and a back box with a choice of tailpipes. If you want noise just have straight through no box or the smallest box they supply.
Would be cheaper than the ragazzon but all down to your choice.
