Hi all,

I am thinking of purchasing a used Fiat Punto Evo MULTIAIR GP 1.4 2010 44000 miles. Trading in my 11 year old 1.2 dynamic which I have owned from new and had serviced every year of its 49000 miles.
I have owned 3 puntos so am quite used to them. But with the multiair engine I am not 100% positive what I should be looking out for.
So if some kind person could give me some pointers it would be appreciated.

I have looked around the car and it looks sound taking it for a test drive on Friday.

Why don't fiat supply this engine any more? I think it is this fact that is making me twitchy about purchasing. I know that the hydraulic system can fail if the wrong grade of oil is used.

Thanks

They do still sell it under the lounge model, but if it's the punto Evo multi air turbo they sold very few of those as they were asking stupid prices for them. Great car though.

No I don't think its a turbo model. Just the 1.4 multiair.

I had a 1.4 multiair lounge, it was a brilliant car/engine, I was so impressed with it that I moved up to a Abarth punto 1.4 multi. Absolutely fabulous. You will know after your test drive. Good luck.

Might not test drive now as I have done some digging.

The road tax expired in Feb 2014. Mot Expired in January 2015 but it's been on the dealers forecourt since December 2014.
So where was it for 10 months?
It just does not feel right, time to walk away I think.

The information you can get just by typing in a registration number into google.
Thanks for all your help.
